What a fast week! After the snow days, the week flew by, and I can’t believe it’s time for another Friday Four. Here are four things that brought me joy this week and might do the same for you.
ONE: I’m hosting a small party tomorrow night, which means I made a visit to Trader Joe’s to get everything I need to make beautiful charcuterie boards.
I love entertaining, but to keep things simple, I stick with charcuterie boards because they don’t require any cooking and can be prepped mostly in advance. To prevent people from crowing around a single board, I like to make several different boards and spread them out on my island.
If you want to make your own boards or need some yummy snacks, try this list of my TJ’s favorites.
TWO: Monday’s recipe for Italian Wedding Soup was a hit with my readers, and many asked about The Cookery.
If you like to cook or know someone who does, definitely sign up for a class. It’s so much more than a cooking class. You’ll make delicious food, get helpful cooking tips, and enjoy a delicious family-style meal. It also makes a memorable “experience” gift for someone special.
THREE: Bows are back. I was a big fan of big bows in the 80s and 90s, and they’re trending again. In small doses, bows can look sophisticated without being too sweet. Here are some fun options.
The $50 black heels are a dupe of a much more expensive pair that I own and love. While the quality isn’t as good, they’re a great budget option.
FOUR: Scarlet Reagan. This is one of my favorite spots in Dallas for home decor, art, and accessories.
I shared some great Amazon home accessories this week, but if you want to shop local and support an incredibly talented artist and entrepreneur, stop by Scarlet Reagan and say “hello” to my friend Kristi or shop her pieces online. Scarlet Reagan is where I found this beautiful succulent arrangement (for some reason, I cannot keep real succulents alive) and inlaid tray.
That’s all for this week. We’re heading to a Lyle Lovett concert tonight to continue my husband’s birthday celebration, and we’re getting ready for a trip to California next week to celebrate my birthday. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

We had a fun lunch today discussing your blog and thinking back about the great bows of the 80’s and 90’s. We fondly remembered the favorite GO TO silver bows that were worn on top of the head. We later named these bows “helicopter bows”. I am so happy to see your blogs again. Give ‘em heaven sweetie. ❤️

Mary Anne—I loved those bows! Goodness, we had some questionable style choices, didn’t we?!
