Friday Four- 2.16.24

Happy Friday, friends! I hope you had a good week. This week was unusual because I had a work trip mid-week. Pre-Covid, I traveled frequently and am so glad those days are over. Thankfully, our calendar is pretty clear this weekend, and I’m looking forward to catching up on family time.

Before we get to that, here are some things that brought me joy this week.

ONE: Valentine’s Day. Because I was out of town, we celebrated the day before with a restaurant-style dinner, and it was DELICIOUS. On the menu: simple seared scallops, a warm spinach and corn salad, mushroom risotto, and baked chocolate pudding.

The risotto and chocolate pudding are from one of my favorite cookbooks, and I’ve linked them for you here and here.

My love for Ina runs deep, and I can always rely on her recipes for a delicious meal.

I also made flower arrangements for my daughters and left sweet treats for everyone before they left for school.

TWO: Amazon accessories. I shared some of these on my Instagram Stories this week, but if you missed them, here are some of the new neutral accessories I’m loving from Amazon.

Link Earrings | Straw Box Clutch | Pearl Drop Necklace

Gold Disc Earrings | Silver Heart Earrings | Straw Clutch | Silver Earring Set

THREE: Italy. My husband and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary in May—what a gift! To mark the occasion, we’re taking a trip to Italy in the fall.

Last year, we spent spring break in Rome and Florence. I LOVE planning trips and spent hours researching our options for food, lodging, and activities. My hard work paid off, and the whole trip was just a dream.

This week, I started planning our anniversary trip and am knee deep in hotels, tours, and travel arrangements. So exciting!

FOUR: I just started reading The Paris Daughter by Kristin Harmel. I loved The Book of Lost Names and so far, this one is just as good.

The author is speaking locally this month, so I’m trying to make my way through her work. She is brilliant at historical fiction, and if that’s your genre, I definitely recommend her books.

That’s all for this week. I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
